Yoga for pregnancy and pregnant women

Many women turn to yoga in their pregnancy period in order to cope with the mental and physical anxieties and stress related to pregnancy.

Pregnant yoga helps to balance the body and also improves the blood circulation system and movement within the body along with enhancing the energy already present in the body.

Main advantage Apart from the physical benefits of doing yoga in pregnancy, is its soothing and calming nature that assists in stabilizing the disturbed emotions during pregnancy

You should consult your doctor and a yoga therapist before starting on a pregnancy yoga practice as it is different than a regular routine yoga and certain physical conditions like diabetes and blood pressure can result more complication if wrongly combined with yoga.

Breathing and Mediations exercises are best to do in yoga however you can also try standing and kneeling postures but be sure to avoid the postures that invert the body and turn it upside down like the head stand, shoulder stand.

Also avoid stretching postures that put pressure on abdominal and stomach area

As body is constantly changing during pregnancy so different postures will suit you during various stages, so do not try to do the same exercise if at any stage of pregnancy of you are feeling uncomfortable with it
